Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Mimpi mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Mimpi ("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least 13 years of age. By using Mimpi, you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are creating an account on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Mimpi. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Mimpi offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. iOS subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe.

• Free trial. Premium subscriptions may include a free trial period. You will not be charged during the trial. Charges begin at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Cancellation (iOS). You can cancel at any time via your Apple ID account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation (web). You can cancel at any time from the Settings page inside the web app. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds (iOS). Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
• Refunds (web). Refund requests for Stripe payments can be made by contacting us at hello@mimpi.app. We handle these on a case-by-case basis.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is harmful, hateful, abusive, or illegal.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service or its AI capabilities.
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Generated Content

Stories generated by Mimpi are produced using AI and are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may print or share stories for personal family use.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content. The AI may occasionally produce unexpected output — please review stories before reading them to your child.

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process the inputs you provide (child name, mood, lesson, daily moment text) solely to generate your story and improve the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All app design, branding, code, and non-generated content is the property of Mimpi and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated stories will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mimpi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of enjoyment. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the territory where we are incorporated.
