Mimpi ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Mimpi app and website (mimpi.app), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
By using Mimpi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Passwords are stored as secure one-way hashes and are never readable by us.
Child profile data. To personalise stories, you may provide a child's first name, age, and phonetic spelling of their name. We do not require any information that directly identifies a child beyond what you choose to provide.
Story content. Stories you generate, including any "today's moment" text you optionally enter, are processed to create your story and may be stored in our database to allow you to access them later.
Usage data. We collect basic technical information such as app version, device type (iOS/web), and feature interactions to improve the product. This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.
Purchase data. If you subscribe to Mimpi Premium, payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) for iOS purchases and by Stripe for web purchases. We receive only a subscription status confirmation — we never see your card or payment details.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising profiling.
Mimpi is designed for parents and carers to use on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian. The child profile information (name, age) is provided by the account holder and used solely to personalise stories.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without parental consent, please contact us at hello@mimpi.app and we will delete it promptly.
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate Mimpi:
We retain your account and story data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and generated stories are permanently removed within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

The Mimpi iOS app does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. The web app uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Mimpi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
